We decided to have a bit of fun with paint and sponges this morning at The Wobbly Jelly, in celebration of World Earth Day and created our very own (not accurate in any way, shape or form) globes.
Blue, White and Green Paint
Paper Plates x 2
An old sponge
An atlas or globe (is helpful but not essential)
Mix the blue and white paint to create a background sea colour for your globe
Turn the paper plates upside down and cover both with the blue paint
Cut up an old sponge into shapes of countries
Cover with green paint and stamp onto the paper plates
Once the paint has dried, glue the inside rim of one of the plates and stick the plates together to create your 3D globe
If you squint a little and use a good sprinkling of imagination it does look a little like a globe.
Please do not in any circumstances leave any preschooler armed with a loaded paintbrush
